The covid pandemic gave us the push we needed to make our decision to close our group training classes. We have been running classes since the very beginning of The Pet Experience so it was not a decision we took lightly. The benefits of group classes are of course the obedience training that is provided and the socialising aspect for dogs. However, we found that we could offer both of these in a way that was much more beneficial to the dogs and in a way that would work better for the majority of pet owners too. 🐶 Online Video Training. Everything we taught in our group classes is now available online. You can watch this at your own pace and still receive support from the team via our Facebook Group or email/phone to make sure you're getting all the help you need. 🐶 Pack Walks. This is the best way to socialise your dog. In a group class setting your dog is usually sat across the hall from another dog but not necessarily socialising. On our pack walks your dog can be on or off the lead learning how to correctly interact with other dogs. You have two behaviourist to give you advice and to keep the pack under control. We also do training on the walk to teach your dogs impulse control and to work for you around distractions. This is real world dog training. On or off lead, lots of distractions and plenty of opportunity to deal with behaviour, socialising and impulse control. There are no heavy commitments to either. The video training is all at your own pace and you just attend the pack walks as and when you're free and pay on the day. This means we are able to deliver these two fundamental skills of training and socialising in a real world way that is flexible and of actual value!
